Assessment for

Assessment for begins with listening and engaging with students to understand what knowledge and skills they bring into the lesson, and how they are progressing through the lesson. What do they have in their knowledge backpack already? Where are the gaps? How can you fill the gaps together by scaffolding next steps?

Modern Classroom

Assessment as

Students are experts in their own lives and learning. Assessment as is an opportunity for educators to guide and model for students how to assess and reach their own learning goals. Students may provide feedback to each other, receive support from an educator through guiding questions, and self monitor their progress.

Student Learning Mathematics

Assessment of

Assessment of  is the formal process of creating public documents of a student's progress in learning. Most often offered at the end achieving the lesson goals/plan/unit, this is a criteria and judgement based assessment often accompanied by a rubric.
